About Tony Mitri
Tony Mitri is a passionate educator, engineer, and lifelong truth-seeker with over 23 years of experience working closely with children, teens, and adults from all walks of life. As a former classroom teacher, private tutor, and mentor, Tony has guided hundreds through emotional struggles, depression, family challenges, and more — long before he ever published a book.
He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering and a Bachelor’s in Teaching, and has studied in three countries: at Byblos University in Beirut, Lebanon; Seneca College in Toronto, Canada; and universities in the United States. Before the COVID pandemic forced his school (CLS in Largo, Florida) to close, he spent years teaching and working directly with families impacted by trauma, addiction, and emotional suppression.
Tony is known for being kind, passionate, and exceptionally patient. Those who’ve worked with him — parents, students, and peers — describe him as the person you turn to when life gets too heavy. His counseling work is rooted in empathy, directness, and helping others see the toxic patterns they unknowingly live inside.
After moving from Florida to Illinois, Tony continued to see how medication — especially antidepressants — often worsened the problem, making people emotionally numb or even suicidal. He began writing as a way to document the tools and truths that helped real people heal without pills.
Today, Tony publishes books under the MitriPress brand, helping people wake up to their emotional reality — and giving them the tools to reclaim their lives. Whether you're lost in depression, trapped in a controlling relationship, or simply tired of feeling invisible, his work reminds you: You're not broken. You’re just buried under the weight of everything that hurt you.
"Healing doesn’t start with pills. It starts with truth."
